Paul "LP" Chun
The Band and It's Members...
HEMI DAVE grew up loving Music, Elvis, Hot Rods, Live Bands and especially the "garage band" music he was exposed to in the 60's and 70's. At the early age of 6 he saw his 1st band in his neighbors garage and from that moment forward always dreamed of becoming a performing musician. His first AZ band "POWERWAGON" was short lived but had many "memorable" moments and HEMI will never forget "Sammy and Bernie" for that time in his career and life... His next band "HEMI DAVE'S POWERWAGON" met in early 2008 through a strange set of events, held a jam session one Saturday and formed the band that day. They immediately grooved and by late that afternoon were already rehearsing several of HEMI'S originals, had written two new songs and began forming live sets for a gig they played just a few weeks later...
"I believe the long wait for the right band was worth it. You just know when something is special, almost beyond you. That's what I feel about that band and the direction it was taking us. I continue working in my studio on Originals, preparing for my studio recording sessions and working with my current band to continually excel in our Live Show Performances for you all... As the road unfolds... I will be on it... Continuing on my journey...
PEACE, HEMI DAVE...
GUITAR & VOCALS: HEMI DAVE - HEMI began his guitar slingin' back in 1983 after seeing the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan at a club back East. He was fortunate enough to meet Stevie that night and spend some time with him understanding a lot of where Stevie came from and what it took for Stevie to get to where he was. HEMI began on piano as a child playing by ear but once he saw and met Stevie everything changed. He traded his piano for his 1st Strat 10 days later and has never looked back. He is an original song writer who loves playing live in front of an audience, always full of Emotion, Energy and always, From the Soul...
BASS: Paul "LP" Chun - LP's 40+ years musical career is a full one. He has played with the likes of Coco Montoya, was Albert Collin's Bassist for a while, played for 2 1/2 years with Jerry Martini of Sly and The Family Stone, has opened for B.B King, Chuck Berry, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and others and jammed with greats such as Stevie Wonder and Boz Skaggs. LP was a perfect fit for HEMI'S Band. His knowledge, support and dedication to HEMI is beyond words. LP is as solid as they get.
